DWR Consulting is dedicated to empowering small businesses with creative and personalized marketing strategies. Founded by Debbie Robinson, an experienced marketing professional, our mission is to help businesses achieve sustainable growth and reach their full potential.

The idea for DWR Consulting began with... an unforgettable experience at Bo’s Island House, a family-run hotel in Guanaja, Honduras. Motivated by their incredible hospitality but limited online presence, Debbie launched a website and social media campaigns that brought their business to life online. That experience sparked a passion for helping small businesses like Bo’s thrive, and it’s been our focus ever since.

In 2018, I was planning a trip to Honduras, and a close friend recommended I stay at a small family-run hotel in Guanaja. I trusted my friend, but the hotel had very little online presence—just a basic Facebook page and no website. At first, I was nervous about what my lodging situation would be like, but since the recommendation came from someone I trusted, I went ahead and booked a room for the weekend.

When I arrived at the Guanaja airport, I was greeted by the hotel’s owner, Bo Bush, and his family. During my stay at Bo’s Island House, I mingled with the locals, ate fresh seafood sourced and prepared by Bo’s wife, Martha, fell asleep every night to the sound of soft ocean waves, and enjoyed the kind of slow island living I thought only existed in movies. In short, Bo’s Island House was the best lodging experience I’d ever had!

I was incredibly grateful to my friend for recommending Bo’s Island House, but I remembered the hesitation I’d felt when booking. It hardly seemed fair that this incredible beachside property had little to no exposure online, and I worried that others were missing out on the experience because of their lack of an online presence. Motivated by the amazing effort Bo and his family put into making my stay memorable, I knew I wanted to help their small family-run business thrive.

After graduating with a Marketing Degree from Flagler College, I launched a new website for the hotel, provided training for the staff to manage their social media accounts, and implemented new promotions to boost bookings during the slow season.

The Bush family welcomed me and continue to welcome many travelers into their home. Guanaja is an island of many wonders, so if you are planning a visit to this tropical paradise, make sure to stop by Bo's Island House and enjoy one of Martha's signature fresh-catch dishes or hike to one of the waterfalls on the property- or stop by for a nice cold refreshment and some good company!
